Mailie Ghilaci

Maïlie Ghilaci is a French lyric soprano. She began her musical training at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental in Narbonne, where she initially studied violin and musicianship before beginning her vocal studies with Catherine Bonaccorsi, with whom she worked from 2019 to 2023. Her early training also included music writing and analysis.

Alongside her studies, in 2018 she joined the Opéra Junior de Montpellier chorus following a competitive audition, where she gained stage experience and took part in various projects with the Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier over four years. She notably performed the role of the Blue Fairy in La Bella Dormente nel Bosco by Ottorino Respighi, conducted by Jérôme Pillement at the Opéra Comédie de Montpellier. She also took part in The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell, performing several arias, and in Les Aventures du Roi Pausole by Arthur Honegger, in the role of La Blanche Aline, with the OONM orchestra. During this period, she also participated in two tours in Germany, including concerts at the French Embassy in Berlin and in Heidelberg, as well as the Amadeus film concert with the OONM professional chorus, conducted by Dirk Brossé.

In 2023, she continued her training at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Bordeaux, where she was admitted to the Cycle Préparatoire à l’Enseignement Supérieur and studied voice with Sharon Coste Poras. During these two years, she complemented her vocal training with studies in theatre, chamber music, classical and contemporary dance, as well as vocal coaching with Martine Marcuz. She notably took part in a staged project based on Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performing the role of Fiordiligi, and later appeared with orchestra at the Auditorium of the Opéra de Bordeaux in excerpts from Norma by Vincenzo Bellini and Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini.

She subsequently joined the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatorio Superior in Valencia, Spain, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Opera Performance in 2026. She studied with Ofelia Sala, with whom she continues her vocal work today. Her training in Valencia included vocal studies, acting and stage interpretation, diction, languages, work with vocal coaches and orchestral training. As part of the Conservatory’s opera productions, she performed Mimì in La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini and Giulietta in Les Contes d’Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach.

She also holds a Diplôme d’Études Musicales (DEM) in classical singing from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Bordeaux and maintains the instrumental background of her early musical training, having completed the second cycle of violin studies at the Conservatoire in Narbonne.

In competitions, she was awarded First Prize unanimously, with the Jury’s Congratulations, at the Cap Ferret Music Open. This distinction qualified her for the final of the Osaka International Music Competition in Japan and for the final of the Bellan International Music Competition in Paris.
