Biography

Sara López Porta was born in Valencia in 1999.

She began her musical training at the age of 8 at the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música” in Valencia, specializing in recorder. At 13, she began her vocal studies at the same institution, where she completed her professional training. She later entered the “Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo” in Valencia, where she trained under the guidance of the renowned soprano Ofelia Sala. Between 2021 and 2022, she studied at the “Conservatorio Arrigo Boito” in Parma under the direction of Maestra Donatella Saccardi.

She has expanded her vocal training through masterclasses and courses with internationally renowned artists such as Fiorenza Cedolins, Robert Expert, Giulio Zappa, Isabel Rey, Lucy Arner, Sabina Puertolas, and Mariella Devia, among others.

At only 18 years old, she received the Fundación Victoria de los Ángeles Prize at the "2nd Josep Palet Singing Competition" in Martorell. Since then, she has been a finalist in several competitions, including the I International Opera Singing Competition of Alicante and the 1st National Singing Competition “Ciudad de Albacete”.

She won First Prize at the 95th edition of the Juventudes Musicales de España Competition, which allowed her to undertake a concert tour in major theatres across Spain.

She has participated in contemporary premieres, such as the world premiere of the cycle “Cinco Miniaturas Machadianas” by Spanish composer Juan Durán. She made her debut as a soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Symphony Hall of the Lienzo Norte Auditorium, accompanied by the Ávila Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Choir. She performed the role of Despina in Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Castello Ducale of Corigliano Calabro (Italy). She has sung with the Orquesta Federal de la Comunidad Valenciana at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia. In the same theatre, she also participates as a soprano soloist in the educational project “Babies Only”, an initiative dedicated to bringing music and opera closer to young children.

She has performed recitals and concerts at prestigious international festivals, including the Lake Como Music Festival in Italy and the XII Festival Europeo de Jóvenes Solistas in Caracas, Venezuela, where she performed with the Juan José Landaeta Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Jesús Uzcátegui.

Among her upcoming projects is the JMSpain winners’ concert, scheduled for next year, in which she will perform accompanied by the orchestra of Radio Televisión Española (RTVE).
